PSA B71 2296 - a specification for oils for engines produced by the PSA group (Peugeot / Citroën) introduced in 2009. This specification meets the requirements of ACEA A3 / B4 and undergoes additional PSA's own tests. Oils of this specification may be used in selected Euro 4 or lower gasoline and diesel engines. Oils in this specification are not adapted to work in cars equipped with DPF. Oils in the PSA B71 2296 specification provide high thermal stability and exceptional heat resistance to avoid the sludge formation and viscosity increase that soot from combustion residues can form.
