The GM-LL-A-025 longlife specification was developed for oils intended for gasoline engines used in cars of the GM corporation, i.e. in cars of such brands as Opel, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Cadillac, Vauxhall. The specification allows the use of oil in engines adapted to extended intervals between lubricant changes up to 30,000. km. Oils with this specification are recommended for use in gasoline engines manufactured until 2011 when this specification was superseded by Dexos 2. The GM-LL-A-025 specification also meets the ACEA A3 / B3 standards.
